At the Historic Texas Theatre – Dallas’ Premier Movie Palace

Drive-in mutants, mark your calendars! The master of midnight movies, Joe Bob Briggs, is taking over the newly renovated Texas Theatre for an unforgettable evening of cult classics, commentary, and pure drive-in mayhem. Following a $2 million transformation, this historic venue is the perfect setting for Joe Bob’s signature brand of movie wisdom and wit.

THE DOUBLE FEATURE

7:00 PM – BUBBA HO-TEP (2002)
Elvis isn’t dead – he’s just fighting an ancient Egyptian soul-sucker in an East Texas nursing home! Bruce Campbell stars as The King himself in Don Coscarelli’s beloved midnight movie masterpiece. With Ossie Davis as JFK (yes, you read that right), this genre-bending gem delivers equal parts horror, comedy, and surprisingly profound meditation on aging and redemption.

9:00 PM – ROCK ‘N’ ROLL HIGH SCHOOL (1979)
Hey ho, let’s go! When Riff Randall (P.J. Soles) faces off against the tyrannical Principal Togar (Mary Woronov), it takes the mighty RAMONES to save Vince Lombardi High School. This punk rock classic proves that sometimes the best way to deal with authority is to rock the school right down to its foundations!
