Joe Bob Briggs (born John Irving Bloom, January 27, 1953) is an American syndicated film critic, horror host, author, and television personality best known for his sardonic appreciation of B-movies, exploitation films, and cult cinema. His persona, "Joe Bob Briggs," is that of an unapologetic redneck Texan with a lifelong devotion to the drive-in movie experience.
He hosted Joe Bob's Drive-In Theater on The Movie Channel (1986–1996), MonsterVision on TNT (1996–2000), and currently hosts The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs on Shudder, AMC's horror streaming platform, alongside co-host Darcy the Mail Girl. The Last Drive-In has cultivated a devoted fanbase known as the MutantFam.
